Eminem – Keepin’ it Real

leave a comment »

“In what has to be one of the most unlikely endorsements semi-psychotic rapper Eminem has ever received, a prominent Hindu statesman, Rajan Zed, applauded him for agreeing to fly out 200 laid-off Detroit autoworkers to Los Angeles for tonight’s taping of the Jimmy Kimmell show, the first of three scheduled appearances where he’ll be performing new songs from his forthcoming Relapse album. Zed was so impressed by the emcee’s good faith gesture that he even quoted ancient scripture on his behalf: “Give with faith. Give with love. Give with joy,” and adds, “Wisdom means a life of selfless service.” He also suggested that celebs like “George Lucas, Steven Spielberg, Oprah Winfrey” and other A-listers could learn a lot from Eminem’s generosity during these trying economic times.”

Good for you Eminem, you show them chumps that us crackers aren’t so bad after all. You know you did something good when Rajad Zed hollars atcha’.. whoever he is.

Social networking or Anti-Social Networking

leave a comment »

With the absolutely ridiculous amounts of social networking websites out there how much socializing is really going on? Long before this Web 2.0 came about there were but only a few places that offered similar services but was it better that way? Is everyone so connected that posting what you’re doing, how you’re feeling or what you’re listening to live on MySpace, Facebook, Last.FM, or Twitter?

I am a total believer in advanced technology and ready many blogs on new tech and software releases and I can say that I’m definitely not ‘connected’, not because I can’t but I know that the people I know have better things to do besides staying up on my newest favorite song or my day at work. Maybe I’m just not interesting enough? There’s 3.3 billion people in the world and I doubt that any one of us is really that interested in this.

BUT – if you’re seeking that attention from those close to you or the other people that have too much time on their hands in cyberspace be sure you sign up for EVERY one of these websites, if you haven’t already. I mean for God’s sake – stay connected… someone will probably click on to your profile or page at some point and be slightly interested for at least 12 seconds.. maybe.

With all these services available for free how much time could possibly be spent not on a computer or smartphone?

“Sorry I’m running late… just updating my Facebook and Twitter…”

AirSoft Minigun, anyone?

leave a comment »

“The American 6mm Minigun
ROF 600-3000 Per Min.
Wgt 27lbs. Velocity 250 – 600 FPS
Magazine Capacity 1700 Standard Internal, +3000 Extended Mag

Plain and simple these M134a version minis were badass. If you were lucky enough to get one while in production it has been like sitting on gold. Nothing came close to the power of these things in a gatling type airgun. The video lower down the page is a good example of the power these things have. Like a school of piranhas the steel 6mm BB’s chew little bits of this inch thick reinforced glass until there is nothing left and with the 3000 round magazine this minigun blows the Japanese guns right off the playing field. Used in good condition with accessories these M134 guns have sold “Used” for over $9000. “

Freakin’ awesome.

Cupcake for everyone!

T-Mobile has finally annouced the long awaited cupecake update, or Android 1.5 if you prefer. The rumors have been floating around about the video recording, on-screen QWERTY keyboard, Picasa and YouTube uploading and there have been numerous apps that offered some of these features though they were fairly limited in their capability and didn’t integrate well. The over-the-air update was released already to a select few G1 users and the remainder of us should begin to receive the update starting next week.

The official statement from T-Mobile:

T-Mobile USA is excited to offer its T-Mobile G1 customers new software updates, including Android 1.5. Starting at the end of next week, T-Mobile USA will begin rolling out Android 1.5 to T-Mobile G1 customers. The over-the-air update, which all G1 customers should receive by the end of May, will provide customers with many new feature enhancements and updates, such as:

· An on screen full QWERTY keyboard.

· Video record and playback capabilities.

· Easy uploading of photos to Picasa and videos to YouTube.

Additional details on Android 1.5 can be found at the T-Mobile G1 forum at http://forums.t-mobile.com/tmbl/?category.id=Android or via the Android site: http://www.android.com/releases/.
