Boston Marathon 2009
The men’s Boston Marathon has been underway for over 2 hours now. Deriba Merga is a strong 50 seconds ahead and is only a mile out from the finish line. and the race is over! Merga’s official time is 2:08:42 and Daniel Rono of Kenya in 2nd with a time of 2:09:32 and USA’s Ryan Hall in 3rd with a time of 2:09:40

the wome’s open race ended about 10 minutes before the men’s race. Salina Kosgei of Kenya is the winner with a time of 2:32:16. Dire Tun of Etopia in 2nd; 2:32:17 and again a third place finish for America with Kara Goucher in 3rd with a time of 2:32:25
