Drunken Watermelon Snowman Recipe
An absolutely fantastic holiday or anyday thing to do. Who wouldn’t appreciate eating frosty the snow man? Adding a little white color to the skin of those mellons and using blackberries for the features would truly give it a frosty the snowman feel.
The recipe can be found at CocktailTimes.com
Hopside Down Beer Glass
This incredible glass has made its appearance on Gizmodo and Liquor Snob both great blogs that I frequent. I will certainly be filling my cabinet with these once made available. An incredibly innovative way to down a cold ones and keep your body heat to yourself. Thumbs up Sirtified

“Fred likes to glug his beer right from the bottle, but Mrs. Fred is appalled. So Fred went out and did something about it – he created this bottle-in-a-glass as an homage to real men like him. Hopside Down is hand-blown, precisely crafted, and unexpectedly deluxe. Since the bottle is double walled, it’s insulated and prevents your hands from warming up the beer, keeping it nice and frosty like it should be! “
Taliban <3′s iPhone
Even the Taliban man can’t stay away from the sleek iPhone. “Ban all modern tech except my iPhone!”

“We doubt Apple will sign this guy up for an endorsement deal, but Mullah Zaif, a former Taliban official, raved about his iPhone to Al Jazeera correspondent Hamish McDonald during a visit in Kabul.
I asked Zaif about his gadget. His response was pretty much the same as everyone who owns an iPhone.
“I’m addicted,” he said, “the internet is great on this, very fast.”
He proceeded to show myself and our film crew his favourite websites. I half expected him to log on and show us ‘Taliban Twitter’.
Just a year ago, the Taliban was threatening to blow up cell-phone towers if wireless operators didn’t observe a curfew, ostensibly to prevent attacks by the American military. Which was a bit silly, since the U.S. Army has access to satellite phones. Of course, the Taliban didn’t have a technophile like Zaif advising them back then. When the conservative religious movement ruled Afghanistan, it banned almost all modern technologies.

Surf City Marathon
So I didn’t post anything for 2 months here so I’m making up for it today. Superbowl Sunday I ran the Surf City Marathon… or half I should say. New personal best though just shy of what I really wanted still better than last. 2:21:57.
Philadelphia
My finishing certificate. 2:27:13, current PR.
I suck, I haven’t posted since Philadelphia on here. Here are a few of the pictures..
Philadelphia Marathon – Post Race
We ran Sunday and it was an awesome run. It was obviously quite a bit colder than Los Angeles but we were bundled up enough to stay warm. The start of the race was 21 degrees, thank God for being able to huddle with 18,000 other runners. We got off about 19 minutes after the gun, the beginning of the race was awesome; running through downtown Philadelphia. Though I lived in New Jersey for 8 years I never experienced Philadelphia like that before. Warming up was no problem once we got going, about a mile and a half in I could feel my chest sweating.
